La Galera
La Galera, is a small town in the Montsià region, interior, rural and quiet.
The building of the Town Hall of La Galera (1906) was designed by the provincial architect Ramon Salas Ricomà. The facade of the building is conserved practically the same as at the time of its construction; It is one of the symbols identified of the town, together with the tower of La Galera and the pottery patrimony.
The municipality has a pottery tradition documented from the beginning of the 18th century to the present, with a period of splendor with different active workplaces. Currently only one remains, in the Galera and in the Montsià region.
Since 2017, La Galera has been declared an Artisanal Interest Point, due to this deeply rooted tradition of pottery that has continued to this day.
