L'Hospitalet de Llobregat
L'Hospitalet is a friendly city, with its own personality and welcoming character. A Mediterranean city, well connected and with a high quality hotel offer where gastronomy, leisure and culture merge combining tradition and modernity.
It is a city of the metropolitan area of Barcelona with a strategic geographical situation between the airport, the port and the capital of Catalonia, Barcelona, with whom it shares affinities, hopes and illusions.
The city is accredited as a Tourist Sports Destination by the Catalan Tourism Agency for excellence in sports facilities, accommodation and specialized services.
Art & Culture
Around the Plaza de Europa, avant-garde buildings designed for Pritzker Prize winners are concentrated and you can discover the art galleries of the Cultural District, the Hospitalet History Museum and the Tecla Sala Cultural Center, among others.
History & Heritage
In the Xipreret street and its surroundings are the origins of Hospitalet. The old textile factories of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries are places worth visiting.
Food & Drink & Nightlife
With many restaurants and bars, going "tapas" around the city is always unforgettable. The Salamandra Room, with more than twenty years of history, is a benchmark for live music in the city.
Shopping & Markets
Distributed throughout the city, there are a number of shops and traditional markets that coexist with large shopping areas, such as the Gran Vía 2 shopping center and the IKEA store.
Business & Biomedical Cluster
The magnificent infrastructures, excellent communications by public transport and a wide variety of accommodation and quality cuisine make the city an ideal destination to develop business. Venues such as Gran Vía de Fira de Barcelona and La Farga host fairs, congresses and events with a variety of themes.
The biomedical cluster of Bellvitge, formed by Bellvitge Hospital, the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) and the University of Barcelona (UB), make Hospitalet a university city with one of the most important complexes in the state in terms of care and research in biomedicine.
