Poetry recital by Enric Casasses at the Concabella Castle
On Saturday, April 5, at 7 p.m., the Castell de Concabella will host a poetry recital by Enric Casasses.
Enric Casasses i Figueres (Barcelona, 1951) is a poet, rhapsodist, playwright, translator, and one of the main driving forces behind the revival of oral poetry. Considered one of the most relevant and influential authors of contemporary Catalan poetry, his work is notable for its originality and groundbreaking.
With more than thirty published books, he has received several literary awards, such as the National Literature Prize awarded by the National Council of Culture and the Arts (2012) for his career, and the prestigious Honorary Prize for Catalan Literature (2020).
He recently published the essay Noticia de la poesía catalana (Noticia de la poesía catalana, Empúries), a lucid and personal look at the evolution of Catalan poetry, from its beginnings to the 20th century.
Tickets: can be purchased in advance or at the box office one hour before the event begins.
