Exhibition "Quaderns de la Segarra" at the Castle of Concabella

This third quarter of the year, Concabella Castle displays Kike Iriarte's Cuadernos de la Segarra, a series of drawings made with watercolor and ink. The artist, born in Pamplona and living in Aranyó, assures that his notebooks have arisen from the fascination that the landscapes of La Segarra provoke in him.

This is his first individual exhibition and it opens on Sunday, July 7, at 1 noon.

Kike Iriarte is closely linked to the world of plastic arts, he has written numerous introductory texts on the work of various artists in magazines and catalogues. He has directed the cultural dissemination magazine Cop d'Ull in Sant Feliu de Llobregat and also teaches visual poetry workshops at the Castell de Concabella. Graduated in Physical Education and Sports Sciences, he has been writing poetry since he was very young. He has published the artist books Trees on a Journey, with drawings by Jaume Amigó, and Song of the Sword, with engravings by Sento Macià, and the book of poems Círculos de agua, alone.

In his notebooks, which always accompany him, writings and drawings have coexisted, until in recent times, as he states, "only the drawings fill the paper and the poetic silence."

When:

From July 7 to September 29, 2024.

Schedule:
