The painter Jaume Amigó (Sant Feliu de Llobregat, 1963) presents 'In the shadow of the hackberry trees' at the Castle of Concabella. The exhibition includes a selection of works on canvas and paper created in recent years in his studio. These pieces have They have often been made after returning from a trip, with the memories of the itineraries still fresh.
Jaume Amigó, who lives and works in Encina de Ribelles (Noguera), has travelled to numerous countries in Europe, Morocco, various regions of Asia and, for three decades, has regularly visited Japan. He has participated in various exhibitions and residency programmes of artists.
Faithful to his early vocation as a painter, Amigó has developed a unique and personal artistic language over the years, closely linked to nature, its transformations, the earth and the elements. In addition to painting, he has explored disciplines such as sculpture, ceramics and engraving, and has also created stage sets for dance and theatre. Despite these forays, painting remains his primary form of expression.
