Castelló de Farfanya
Castelló de Farfanya extends to the foot of a hill where the remains of the old castle that gave rise to the town at the time of Saracen domination can be found. What remains of the towers and walls and the church of Santa Maria seems to watch over the entire town from its privileged position.
The weight of history is very present in Castellón, not only because of its castle, but also because of other buildings and streets of the old town where the mark of the passing of the centuries has been left. The site was important in the Middle Ages, but not only traces of that time remain in the town. The history of Castellón has been superimposed to create a town with charm and a rural atmosphere that is worth a visit.
