This cycle, unique in its category, will bring together three renowned artists of the current music scene: the Catalans Carles Viarnès and Raül Refree and the Czech Katta. Each of them, with their own artistic vision, will interact with the organ of the Palau to create an immersive and captivating sound experience.

The Palau Güell has a distinctive element from the other Gaudí spaces in the city: an organ that presides over the Central Hall and, with its sound, transmits the primordial importance of music in the conception of this space. For this reason, the experiences The sounds of «Orgànic» will take place in this hall and will combine classical elements and contemporary technology to explore new forms of musical expression.

During the restoration of the Palau, the original organ —built in 1888 by the maestro Aquilino Amezua, who had disappeared— was replaced by a new one equipped with the necessary technology to play alone during visits through a MIDI system. This gives the This organ has the possibility of being played not only as a normal organ, but also with technological devices such as MIDI keyboards, computers, tablets and other interfaces. Thanks to this, the instrument opens up to many other artists, composers, performers and creators, who are not necessarily organists. And this new world of possibilities has translated into various events, such as the “Parabòlic” in 2018 or the “Hyperorgan” in 2022.

Now, the «Orgànic» cycle, directed by master organ builder Albert Blancafort, seeks to immerse the audience by playing with various sound sources —the original organ and two additional organs—, which will underline the sound spaciousness of this work by Gaudí, designed with a excellent acoustics at the express request of Eusebi Güell himself. To do this, the musicians will play the organ from the main console, located under the dome, and thanks to MIDI keyboards they will incorporate the sounds of two additional modules located at the public level, one in the chapel and another in the musicians' stand.

This cycle is a unique opportunity to enjoy a programme that combines heritage and modernity, turning the Palau Güell into the meeting point for new musical trends.
