In our territory , the Siurana DOP extra virgin olive oil stands out, a product that is the result of the balance between nature and the art of cultivation. The cultivation of the land and the harvest of the Arbequina olives is carried out at the right time and all the knowledge of farmers and millers make it a unique product: the Siurana DOP extra virgin olive oil with a flavour and aroma that bear the seal of this land.

At Baix Camp you will also find DO Tarragona wines, which explain the history of the land with each sip, wines that the climate and the direct influence of the sea, the gentle topography and exceptional terrain make pleasant, fresh and typically Mediterranean.
Another of our great products is the Hazelnut from Reus (DOP), distinguished with the Protected Designation of Origin. This designation protects the varieties Negrita, Paueteta, Gerundense, Morella and Culplana, traditionally cultivated in a wide area of the Tarragona region, especially in Baix Camp. The Hazelnut from Reus is a dried fruit with exceptional culinary and nutritional qualities, ideal for consumption at any time of day, whether raw or toasted, and a perfect ingredient for cooking, both in dishes and sauces.
In the mountains of Baix Camp, specifically in the Prades Mountains, another of our best products is grown, also distinguished with a seal of quality, that of Protected Geographical Indication (PGI): the Prades Potato.
The Prades PGI Potato is a traditional crop from the Prades Mountains, present at least since the 19th century. Today, it is of the Kennebec variety, with limited production but excellent quality. Its flesh is whitish in colour, with a consistent texture and a sweet and persistent flavour, with a slight chestnut smell.
The quality seal of this potato covers the municipalities of Prades, La Febró, Capafonts and Arbolí, all in the Baix Camp region. However, the majority of the 130 hectares of crops are in the municipality of Prades; the rest of the villages, very small, produce them mainly for their own consumption.
These are the most outstanding products of the Baix Camp interior, of the Costa Daurada Mountains, but there are many more: mushrooms, chestnuts, fruits and vegetables from the extraordinary garden that we have in the region, among others. The combination of all these products and the long gastronomic tradition make our cuisine one of the most diverse, refined and tasty in the country.
