Discover Gironès with your family, the new guides that have it all!

Discover the new guides "El Gironès en familia" (Gironès for families) presented by the Gironès Regional Council! An initiative whose objective is to promote family tourism in the region and enrich the experience of families visiting the 27 municipalities in the territory.

Going on holiday with children can be a challenge, but it also offers a wonderful opportunity to share unforgettable moments. The new Gironès guides are designed precisely for this: to transform family visits into authentic adventures, where children are the protagonists, but adults also play a key role. With a fun and educational approach, the guides combine entertainment and learning, making each visit an enriching experience full of discoveries.

4 guides 4 themes

The collection of guides is divided into four themes, each of them aimed at highlighting a unique part of the territory. "Cities and the passage of time" allows you to discover the historical and cultural legacy of the towns of the Gironès, highlighting monuments, emblematic buildings and fascinating stories of each site. Meanwhile, "The Ter River and the heritage of water" delves into the importance of the Ter River for the region, explaining its influence on the economy, ecology and daily life over the centuries.

On the other hand, nature lovers can enjoy "Discover the Llémena Valley", a guide that takes families to a place of spectacular natural beauty, full of routes and idyllic spaces to explore, surrounded by tranquility and fresh air. Lastly, "Life in the countryside and trades" offers an insight into the agricultural tradition and the old trades of the region, transporting visitors to a not-so-distant past, where farm work and artisan trades were essential to people's daily lives.

"Gironès with the family" guides

The Girolins: the magical guides of the Gironès

One of the most attractive features of these guides is the presence of the Girolins, friendly characters who live hidden among the landscapes of the Gironès and who act as guides for children throughout the tour. Thanks to their games, riddles and questions, the Girolins make each excursion interactive, keeping the children's attention and turning the experience into a real adventure.

A collective project

This project is the result of a collective effort between the Tourism Department of the Regional Council and the different municipalities that make up the Gironès. The new guides have been created with the intention of highlighting the history, natural routes, legends and activities that each corner of the territory offers.

Designed to appeal to the entire family, the guides cover everything from accessible routes to little-known points of interest, as well as information on parks, picnic areas and activities tailored for all audiences.

Where can you find the guides?

At the moment, the guides are available in Catalan and can be collected free of charge at the regional tourist office at the Girona Gironès Welcome Point (Calle Berenguer Carnicer, 3, Girona) or at the information points spread throughout the region.

They can also be downloaded in PDF format via the official website: " here "!
