Casa Batlló presents 'A Winter's Night', a unique night-time experience
With more than 100,000 visitors in previous editions, 'A Winter's Night' continues to surprise the public with Fermina, its main character, who lived in the house and dedicated herself to caring for the Batlló family's grandchildren. A story that pays tribute to the women of the last century, connecting with current values.
'A Winter's Night', based on real events, allows you to explore Casa Batlló through innovative lighting, captivating projections and Augmented Reality content. This experience is complemented by a Christmas light and music show, which is repeated every 30 minutes from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
An immersive night-time experience suitable for all audiences. With a story full of emotion, the event combines advanced audiovisual proposals with a striking set design. This edition includes new projections and lighting in emblematic spaces such as Gaudí Cube and the rear façade of the building.
The story revolves around the people who lived in the house, especially Fermina, a woman who, despite not being part of the family, became an essential support for the descendants of the Batlló family, leaving an indelible mark on their childhood. This proposal transports visitors to the daily life of the 1920s, recreating the everyday life of the time.
Visitors can choose between two perspectives to discover this story: that of Fermina or that of Juan Carlos Marimon, great-grandson of the Batllós. The story has been developed thanks to a rigorous documentation process, which has allowed us to recover unique photographs and interviews with members of the family who lived with Fermina.
The experience also features an original soundtrack composed by Jordi Longán, with special participation by Sheila Blanco in the main piece. For the Catalan and Spanish versions, Mario Gas lends his voice to play Juan Carlos, offering a close and emotional narration.
With a duration of 1 hour and 15 minutes, the experience will be available until mid-January from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. and will be available in 7 languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, French, Italian, Chinese and Korean). It includes Augmented Reality, immersive sets and projections in prominent spaces.
In addition, residents of Spain can enjoy a 2x1 promotion and admission is free for children from 0 to 12 years old.
