Catalonia is a region that, among other things, stands out for its gastronomy. Mediterranean cuisine with all its flavors and colors.

Xató is a sauce variation of romesco, based on the ñora pepper. In addition to this type of pepper, it also includes toasted bread, toasted almonds and hazelnuts, garlic, oil, and salt. It's worth noting that the preparation varies depending on the region. This dish was traditionally made in wine-producing areas, hence its name.

It was the food prepared at the "aixetonar" festival. It's the tap that was added to the wineskins to later enjoy the first wine of the season.

In addition to the competition, attendees can enjoy free tastings of xató, accompanied by wine and desserts. The festivities will also include family activities and a musical performance by the band Veneno en la piel, making it a celebration open to all ages.

With this initiative, Cubelles reaffirms its commitment to promoting local gastronomy and preserving the traditions of the territory, consolidating the Xatonada Popular as an essential event within the festivities of the municipality.
