Mussel Day of the Delta de l'Ebre
Las Casas de Alcanar celebrates a day destined to show the gastronomic qualities of the Delta de l'Ebre mussel!
Every year, at the end of July, the town's port area hosts this day where, among other activities, the distribution of hundreds of kilos of steamed mussels to all attendees stands out.
Lunch is accompanied by good wines thanks to the participation of several wineries from the Terra Alta designation of origin.
Mussels from the Delta de l'Ebre are considered a culinary delight and a quality product, since the nutrient-rich water from the Ebro reservoir creates a favorable environment for their cultivation.
