Saint John's Eve celebration in Saldes

Saldes celebrates the most magical night of the year with the traditional bonfire and activities for all ages!

The municipality will celebrate the summer solstice with a program designed to share, enjoy and welcome one of the most magical nights of the year.

The festivities will begin on Tuesday afternoon, June 23rd, with a performance by the Bruixes del Nord (Witches of the North ), a warm-up for a night steeped in symbolism. Later that evening, the "Espurnes de Llibertat" (Blossoms of Freedom) show will give way to the popular correfoc (fire run), a vibrant spectacle full of light, rhythm, and energy that will fill the streets with the festive spirit of Sant Joan.

At midnight, one of the most anticipated moments will arrive: the lighting of the Summer Solstice bonfire, a symbol of renewal, celebration, and shared tradition. The fire will become the center of a night to reunite, celebrate, and experience the festivities with gusto.

The festivities continue on Wednesday, June 24th, with the Batucada Despierta Saldes! (Saldes Wake Up Batucada), which will fill the morning with percussion and joy. Afterwards, the little ones can enjoy children's workshops and water games – a refreshing and interactive way to experience the day as a family.

The closing ceremony will feature the solstice batucada, which will bring the workshops and a celebration full of rhythm, tradition and good atmosphere to a close.
