Taüll Shepherd's Cheese Fair

At the end of August, the Shepherd's Cheese Fair is held in Taüll ( La Vall de Boí ) with stalls selling cheeses and artisan products.

The Pastor de Taüll Cheese Fair is an event organized jointly by the Vall de Boí Town Hall and the Association of Pastors and Pastors Formatgers of the Catalan Countries.

The objective of the Fair is to highlight and promote the artisan cheeses that are made in small cheese factories, using the milk from the miste herd grazed in the area. To give recognition to this tradition and value the work behind each cheese, a distinctive seal has been created that identifies the products that comply with this characteristic.

During the meeting, there will be stalls of local artisans and agri-food companies, where visitors will have the opportunity to learn about and purchase their products.

An outstanding part of the event will be the scheduled talks, where the representatives of some of the participating cheese factories will share their history, experience and the project behind their cheeses.
