Tarragona, city of Castells

The castells "the construction of human towers" originate from the Camp de Tarragona and the Penedès and come from the dance of Valencians. In Tarragona there are four casteller groups and, in the city, the spirit and the casteller atmosphere are lived and breathed like never before.

The weight of the city within this activity continues today more than ever thanks to the presence of four casteller groups, the importance of their performances and, especially, the organization of the Concurs de Castells. All this makes Tarragona known as the capital of the casteller world.

To make castles everyone is necessary and has its place, from the largest to the smallest. Without any they get up, without value, either.
