SolXICsona in Solsona

The city of Solsona will once again become a space for play and creativity with the eighth edition of SolXICsona, a program that consolidates its role as a major children's and family celebration. Organized under the umbrella of the "Obert" program, the festival aims to reinforce children's right to play and enjoy cultural and recreational activities in a community setting.

SolXICsona offers a wide range of free activities that combine entertainment, learning, and socializing. Children and their families can enjoy animated films, creative workshops, traditional games, adventure and go-kart tracks, inflatable rides, and a family show that will conclude the program. The goal is for play to be the backbone of a weekend dedicated to primary school children and, at the same time, a meeting point for the entire community.

One of the most anticipated events is the Children's Quick Painting Competition, which this year features the theme "Where do we play?" Participants will be tasked with capturing the city's outdoor play areas, highlighting those places that serve as focal points for socializing and sharing leisure time. This activity reinforces the educational and participatory component of the festival, giving children a voice as protagonists of their environment.

Sunday's activities will fill the Pare Claret promenade with workshops, circuits, and play areas designed for all ages, from the youngest members of the family to those preparing for bigger challenges. The participation of local organizations such as the Solsona Museum, the Riallera Esplai, and the "El 6" Socio-Educational Intervention Service guarantees a varied and high-quality offering.

The festival will close with the puppet show "Somion, the City of Impossible Trades" and live music, which will spark the audience's imagination. SolXICsona is therefore a must-attend event for experiencing the city through play, culture, and creativity.
