Main Festival in Castellar de n'Hug

The Castellar de n'Hug Festival is a long time coming, but when it arrives, it's a real treat!

The celebration will begin with a festive evening, featuring live music and a DJ set in the Multipurpose Hall. During this first day, the selection of the "pubill" or "pubilla" (the festival's representative) will also take place, maintaining one of the traditions associated with the Fiesta Mayor (main festival).

The following day, the ringing of bells will announce the continuation of the festivities and remind everyone of the traditional nature of a celebration deeply rooted in the town.

The day dedicated to Sant Miquel, patron saint of Castellar de n'Hug, will feature many of the most traditional events. A parade will precede the sung mass in honor of the saint, and afterwards the Plaça de la Generalitat will become a meeting point with a sardana dance and a popular vermouth gathering.

In the afternoon comes one of the most characteristic moments of the festival: the Ball Cerdà, followed by more sardanas. The music will continue into the evening with the closing dance of the Fiesta Mayor, which will serve as a farewell to several intense days of celebration.

The Sant Miquel Festival is a great opportunity to visit Castellar de n'Hug, stroll through its streets and enjoy a celebration that keeps alive the link between music, tradition and popular culture in one of the most emblematic towns of Berguedà.
