Experience the Three Kings Parade in Vila-seca!
In Vila-seca, the celebration of the king's parades dates back to the period before the Civil War, at the beginning of the 20th century. Those in charge of organizing and carrying out the event are the members of the Association of Kings of Vila-seca.
Once the parade is over, the Vila-seca Castle hosts the mapping. People gather in the Castle Garden and, there, a light and sound projection is broadcast starring Tonet and Pineda, two traditional characters of the Villa-Secana culture. The mapping theme varies each year.
The two main pillars are the presence of the Kings on horseback (mule, male) and receiving gifts from the balcony by stretching a rope. In fact, "stretching the rope" has become synonymous with receiving gifts in Vila-seca.
