Nature Week in Tiurana

Nature Week is an initiative of the Nature Conservation Network ( XCN ), a 2nd level non-profit organization, made up of 200 entities, such as associations, foundations, public administrations, universities and research centers.

The XCN was born in February 2019, the result of the merger between the Environmental Volunteer Network of Catalonia ( XVAC ) and the Territorial Custody Network ( XCT ). The XCN promotes the preservation of the natural, cultural and landscape heritage and the sustainable management of the territory, through social participation and involvement, representing and supporting the environmental custody and volunteering entities of Catalonia.

The Network for Nature Conservation promotes citizen involvement in the preservation of nature, which is why various campaigns are organized to bring knowledge about environmental entities to everyone. During the year you can get involved in environmental volunteering by participating in specific one-day activities or long-term projects, with the entities in your environment.

Around World Environment Day, June 5, Nature Week is organized to promote actions in favor of the preservation of nature and to make environmental entities known to citizens. In March, the Ultra Clean Marathon is held, a sustainable and solidarity race to raise funds for the conservation projects of entities throughout Catalonia.
