National Day of Catalonia in Roda de Berà
Roda de Berà celebrates the National Day of Catalonia!
September 11 is celebrated every year to commemorate the fall of Barcelona to the Bourbon forces in the War of Succession in 1714. This date is an important symbol for Catalan identity and culture and is usually a day of expression of national and political sentiment in Catalonia.
During the Diada, the inhabitants participate in various activities and events that stand out for their Catalan identity. One of the most notable acts is the floral offering in front of monuments or symbolic places to remember the fallen and martyrs of 1714.
