Vies Verdes Marathon in Girona

The test will be held on a route of 42,195 meters. Likewise, there is the possibility of participating in distances of 10k, 21k or 30k depending on the characteristics of the event.
The route of the Vía Verde del Carrilet is a route that is 80% compact dirt track (track without stones, there are no trails) combined with asphalt for which mixed sports are recommended, and which runs in the middle of nature, passing through rural areas characteristic of the area, going from the mountains to the sea.
In Spain, there are more than 2,000 kilometers of disused railway infrastructure that have been recovered as cycle and hiking routes within the framework of the Greenways Programme, coordinated by the Spanish Railways Foundation.
