This June 18 is the Day of Sustainable Gastronomy. The set of dishes and culinary uses typical of a certain place is one more expression of the natural and cultural diversity of the planet.

With the celebration of this Day, they try to promote eating habits that are more respectful with the environment and with local traditions.

This type of gastronomy can play a fundamental role in sustainable development, especially of less favored communities, since it promotes agricultural development, food security, nutrition, sustainable food production and the conservation of biodiversity.
