Isaac Albéniz International Music Course in Camprodon

Camprodon hosts a new edition of the Isaac Albéniz International Music Course, a training program aimed at intermediate, higher and postgraduate students who wish to deepen their musical interpretation and perfect their repertoire.

For several days, young musicians will live and work alongside renowned professors and performers in a stunning natural and culturally rich setting. The classes will focus on developing their instrument technique, preparing for recitals, exams, new programs, and chamber music pieces.

The course offers specialized training in piano, violin, viola, and cello, as well as chamber music sessions and work with accompanist pianists. Participants will receive individualized guidance and share experiences with other students, fostering learning, creativity, and artistic growth.

String instrument students will also have the opportunity to join the Camerata Albéniz, an orchestra created during the course. Group rehearsals will allow them to delve deeper into ensemble work, listening skills, and coordination among musicians, culminating in performances open to the public.

The program will combine classes with concerts by professors, students, past award winners, and chamber ensembles. There will also be a piano competition and several closing concerts showcasing the work done throughout the course.

The awarding of diplomas, scholarships and prizes will bring to a close a week intensely dedicated to music.

An initiative that combines training, community and culture, and that keeps the legacy of Isaac Albéniz alive in his hometown, bringing classical music closer to new generations of performers.
