Honey festival in Ribes de Freser
Ribes de Freser celebrates a new edition of the Honey Festival!
Bees are a fundamental piece within ecosystems and our lives. In recent years, the world population of bees has been declining alarmingly, pesticides, climate change, habitat loss, new parasites and pests such as the Asian wasp (velutina), are all the main causes of this situation.
With the Honey Festival, it is intended to organize a fun and educational event for all audiences where science, technology, gastronomy, art and culture are mixed in favor of the protection of these insects.
You can enjoy tastings and sales of a wide variety of honey and honey products, syrups, ointments, soaps, candles, etc. all based on bee products. You can also participate in the workshops that are carried out and see the exhibitions related to bees.
The objective of the Honey Festival is to preserve and disseminate the culture of bees in its most traditional sphere, as well as to discover the exciting world of bees.
