Tradition says that men have to give their beloved a beautiful red rose, like the blood that gushed -according to the legend- of that evil dragon that Saint George killed. As a symbol of esteem, women give their loved ones a book.

Thus, April 23 is also the International Book Day which, interestingly, coincides with dates of births and deaths of some illustrious writers of everything. One of the best known is William Shakespeare.

Catalonia, this day, full of stalls with flowers of all colors, mountains of books and people who fill the streets of towns and cities celebrating a party not only of love to the beloved, but also to the culture.
