'Fira dels Somnis' by Balaguer
The 'Fira dels Somnis' in Balaguer is a charity event that aims to make dreams of curing childhood cancer a reality. This community project culminates with a day full of festive, recreational and sporting activities on the first Sunday in May.
The main events include the Cursa dels Somnis, the largest popular walk in the Tierras de Poniente, which fills the streets of Balaguer with solidarity. The Fira dels Somnis has stands from organisations and activities for children and adults, while the Bosque dels Somnis hosts educational workshops and exhibitions. There are also awareness-raising spaces, such as the Banners of Generosity and the Cultural and Educational Plafones, which transmit messages of support and awareness.
In the 2024 edition, €57,385 was raised, all of which went to the Vall d'Hebron Hospital's search for immunotherapies against childhood cancer. With the collaboration of thousands of people, companies and institutions, the Dream Fair is a demonstration of solidarity and commitment.
