Remença Festival of the Vall de Llémena

A new edition of the Remença Festival of Vall de Llémena is ready, which this year will be celebrated on May 23 in Sant Gregori.

The Remença Festival is an event that is celebrated every year in a different municipality of the four that make up the Llémena Valley. This valley, located in the Garrotxa region, is known for its natural beauty and cultural heritage. The municipalities that are part of the Vall de Llémena Commonwealth are: Canet d'Adri,Sant Aniol de Finestres, Sant Martí de Llémena and Sant Gregori.

The various locations where the Remença Festival has been celebrated are places that played a part in the history of one of the first major popular uprisings in Europe against the abuses of feudal lords. This festival is not only a cultural celebration, but also a way to remember and reclaim the history of these peoples and their struggle for freedom and social justice.
