Three Tombs Festival in Sentmenat

The San Antonio Abad Commission of Sentmenat is organizing another edition of the Fiesta dels Tres Tombs (Festival of the Three Turns). The festival will pay homage to the patron saint of round-footed animals and, by extension, domestic animals, as well as to San Menna, the town's patron saint.

The day will begin early, from 9 to 11 a.m., with a hearty breakfast at the Castle. At 10 a.m., the traditional flag-raising ceremony will take place, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a dog demonstration by Agility Occi Paws.

At 11:00 a.m. , the solemn Mass in honor of Saint Anthony will be celebrated, with the distribution of the traditional blessed bread rolls. Upon leaving, the flag bearers will offer attendees coca (a type of flatbread) and mistela ( a sweet wine), maintaining one of the most cherished traditions.

The procession will begin around 12:15 pm, departing from Sentmenat Castle and winding through the town's streets. During the procession, the animals will be blessed, and the music will be provided by the Txaranga Banda El Triangule de Sants, who will accompany the entire procession.

At the end, a gift will be given to the participants, bringing to a close a celebration that combines popular culture, history and village spirit.
