Santa Maria Matamala Pine Festival in Les Llosses
The Pi Festival is an ancient celebration of secular origin that is celebrated at the beginning of May. First thing in the morning we go to the forest where we cut down a pine tree and take it to the center of Matamala (Les Llosses) dragged by two oxen. Later it is peeled to be able to lift it. There will also be a fair of artisan products and gastronomic products.
It is organized by the Matamala Festival Commission, together with the Les Llosses City Council.
In addition, it is also a good time to discover the particularity of this municipality, which does not have an urban center, and the houses and farmhouses are scattered throughout the municipal area, grouped into 8 neighborhoods.
