Festa de la Llum and Feria de l'Aixada

Like every year, Manresa celebrates the "Festa de la Llum y la Feria de l'Aixada".

The Festa de la Llum remembers the mystery according to which, about 650 years ago, a light coming from Montserrat entered the church of Carmen. In this way, the conflict that had interrupted the construction of the Manresa Acequia was resolved. Water and light are the symbols of this festival which, in recent years, has been impressively renewed with the organization of the Aixada Fair.

The Aixada Fair will fill the streets of the old town with artisans and masters of ancient crafts who will show their arts surrounded by shows that will entertain visitors who will get lost in the hustle and bustle of the city.

The streets full of bustle, decorated and decorated as if we were back in the 14th century, the smells and music of another time transport the visitor to the very heart of a very lively popular festival, full of activities, for children and adults., and with constant surprises.
