Major Festival of Santa Magdalena in Canyelles

Canyelles is preparing a Santa Magdalena Festival full of important new features and with a wide program of events specially designed to be enjoyed with family and good music.

The opening proclamation will officially kick off several days of intense activities. The program will showcase local traditions with the participation of giants, devils, big-headed figures, stick dancers, fire groups, and other local organizations. Street parades, fire runs, spoken dances, and group gatherings will fill the streets with music, color, and a festive atmosphere.

Musical performances will play a prominent role, with concerts, afternoon dances, and large evening sessions featuring orchestras and cover bands. Younger audiences will also have their own dedicated areas with DJ sets and options to keep the party going well into the early hours.

Families will find refreshing activities, children's shows, and a huge foam party. Sports will also be part of the program with popular tournaments and events open to the public. Religious events will keep the most traditional aspect of the celebration alive, with the ringing of bells, a solemn service, and tributes linked to the history of the municipality.

The Fiesta Mayor will also have a Purple Point, intended to inform, advise and contribute to celebrations free of sexist violence.

An open, diverse and participatory festival to take to the streets, reconnect with the neighborhood and enjoy the music, popular culture and community spirit that characterizes Canyelles.
