Puig-reig Festival
Puig-reig will experience its Major Festival from May 16 to 20. As always, the activities program wants to make young and old enjoy with diverse proposals from concerts, recreational activities, children's shows, sports and cultural events.
As in the last editions, the space that will host practically all of the activities will be the Envelat 2.0 that will be installed in Plaza Nova. This will allow the events to be held if it rains. The Puig-reig City Council and the Festival Commission have prepared a varied program with the aim of reaching all audiences with the incorporation of some new features. One of this year's bets is an activity for babies with the desire to meet the demand of families with small children; and another novelty is the youth dance for those under 16 years of age with the aim of offering a party space to the adolescent group. Also, after a decade, the tourist train will return, which will run through a good part of the municipality with journeys on Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The nerve center of the Festival will host concerts and performances of all kinds. And music is one of the highlights of the Puig-Regenca celebration: Els Pescadors de l'Escala, Ambauka, La Tropical, Trending Covers, a group of 80s covers, Tributo en Mama Mia, Dj Arzzett, DJ Simmon and DJ Weah will be some of the proposals that can be heard at Envelat 2.0 during the days of the party. In addition, the pavilion will also be the scene of two musical proposals: the show Himnes del Cor with the Polifónica de Puig-reig, Mariona Escoda, Roger Padullés, La Pau, Joan Garrido and the Corda y Cobla de Catalunya Symphony; and the concert-dance with the Selvatana Orchestra.
Apart from the habaneras, the grill dinner, the vermouth-concert, exhibitions, activities in the library, the photography contest, the bikinada, an escape room, the proclamation, the Crono Pump Track, the activities in the library, the pinchos or the biquinada, one of the featured acts will be the show Bona Gent by Quim Masferrer.
As for popular culture, this year the Diablos del Clot del Infierno will once again walk through the streets of the municipality. It will be on Friday night, first with the children's version of the group and then with the usual correfoc. On the other hand, there will be the audition of sardanas on Monday at noon and on Tuesday, May 21, the traditional Tornaboda is revived.
