Sant Hilari Sacalm Festival

The end of August heralds the eagerly awaited Sant Hilari Sacalm Festival every year!

Sant Hilari Sacalm celebrates its Fiesta Mayor with a week full of activities that will fill squares, streets and facilities with popular culture, sports, music and family proposals.

The program will begin with sports and leisure activities, such as competitions, open-air cinema, inflatables in the pool, and various popular events. There will also be time for traditional games, football, theater, and diverse cultural initiatives, allowing everyone to enjoy the festivities with a wide range of interests and rhythms.

As the week progresses, popular culture will take center stage. Giants and big-headed figures will parade through the streets, sardana dances will once again draw crowds of dancers to the plaza, and the correfoc (fire run) will bring fire, percussion, and intensity to one of the most anticipated nights. The opening proclamation will mark the beginning of the main days of the Fiesta Mayor, which will continue with concerts, dances, and evening events.

Another highlight will be the traditional Baixada de Carretons, a deeply rooted event in Sant Hilari Sacalm that combines creativity, speed and fun and will once again attract participants and the public to the streets of the municipality.

Families will find children's shows and activities designed for the little ones, while exhibitions, meetings, competitions, and other events will allow them to discover different facets of the town's cultural life. There will also be habaneras, traditional meals, and culinary activities.

During the holiday period, the tourist train will also be running and several exhibitions will be open to visitors.
