FestaSalt in Gerri de la Sal
Gerri de la Sal (Baix Pallars), will celebrate a new edition of the FestaSal, a day session with a complete program of activities to value the salt heritage.
There are some activities such as workshops, talks and guided tours that have limited capacity and, therefore, prior reservation must be made.
To the south of Pallars Sobirà is Gerri de la Sal, a small medieval town that still preserves its enclosed area and that stands out for its industrial and architectural heritage: the salt quarry and the Monastery of Santa Maria.
The exploitation of the salt source, which until recently was the main economic engine of this town, explains its name.
