Major Festival of Sant Joan de Montdarn

Sant Joan de Montdarn ( Viver i Serrateix ) has everything ready to celebrate its Major Festival!

A day that will bring together tradition, music, dance and activities for all ages in a charming rural setting.

The celebration will begin with the most solemn and traditional events. The Mass and the procession to the Roc de Sant Joan will keep alive one of the most deeply rooted traditions of the festival. Locals and visitors alike can participate in this procession and share a moment of connection, devotion, and appreciation for the local heritage.

In the afternoon, music and dance will take center stage with a performance by Rustik's from Vallcebre, who will entertain the audience with a festive and participatory show. The program will also feature a performance by Esbart Dansaire de Berga, who will bring traditional dances to the public and contribute to preserving an important part of Catalan folk culture.

Another highlight will be the traditional Boot Dance, an activity closely linked to the celebration's identity. The day will also include a grand raffle and various activities designed to encourage community spirit and participation.

Children will have access to a free bouncy castle where they can play and have fun while their families enjoy the festive atmosphere. There will also be a bar serving sandwiches with sausage for dinner, allowing everyone to enjoy the gathering until nightfall.

In case of rain, the events will be moved to the Viver Community Center, thus ensuring the continuity of the celebration.
