The Sant Martirià Fair in Banyoles is a combination of tradition and modernity. It is a fair with a long history linked to the world of livestock that has its origins centuries ago. There are antecedents as far back as the 14th century.

The Fair has adapted over the years and has been able to evolve and adapt to the demands of new times and the needs that citizens have been asking for. But it remains faithful to its origins and the characteristic features of its beginnings.

The rossam cattle, horses, donkeys and the morphological contest endure over time and share space with exhibitions and equestrian shows, a sample of native Catalan breeds, a Catalan dog monograph, a crafts market and multiple conferences, talks and exhibitions related to the world of horses and native breeds.

It is currently a benchmark for fairs related to the world of horses and native breeds throughout Catalonia and even the south of France.
