La Captura exhibition at the Ripoll Ethnographic Museum
The Ethnographic Museum hosts the exhibition THE CAPTURE. From the landscapes of en Vayreda to the last painting by Olot.
It can be visited during the Museum's opening hours until April 25. It consists of almost thirty paintings painted between the end of the 19th century and the end of the 20th, which have as a common denominator the garrotxins landscapes of the Olot environment.
The painter Joaquim Vayreda (Girona, 1843 - Olot, 1894) was the pioneer, since after a trip to Paris in 1871 he began to capture the landscape of the area in his works. Later, many others followed, either in a similar or different style.
