Minutes of Holy Week in Camprodon

Camprodon is preparing for another Holy Week marked by tradition, reflection, and community participation. Once again, the town will host several religious events that form part of its cultural and spiritual heritage, with the Good Friday Procession of the Holy Mysteries as the central event.

To mark this celebration, the commemorative poster for the procession has already been published, as well as the annual magazine produced by the organizing association, which includes the liturgical program and planned events. The publication is already being distributed to the public and can also be found at the Camprodon Tourist Office.

The events will begin on Palm Sunday with the traditional Burriquet Procession, which will depart at 11 a.m. from the Carmen church to the Santa Maria church, kicking off a week full of symbolism.

On Holy Thursday, starting at 8 pm, the parade of the manaies will take place, which will travel through several streets of the municipality until reaching the Pont Nou, where the mayor will make the traditional delivery of the mace of command to the Romans.

Good Friday will begin with the Women's Procession at 8 a.m., a particularly solemn and emotional event.

In the evening, at 9 pm, the Procession of the Holy Mysteries will take place, one of the highlights of Holy Week in Camprodoni. The procession will depart from Santa Maria Square and proceed to Carme Square, passing through the town's main streets and squares in an atmosphere of silence and devotion.

Camprodon's Holy Week is thus consolidating itself as a key event on the local calendar, combining tradition, heritage and participation, and bringing together residents and visitors year after year to experience a few days of cultural and religious intensity.
