Esquelles Fair in Montseny

The Esquelles Fair is back in Montseny once again!

A fair that highlights the trades related to livestock farming, specifically sheep farming. Guided tours are also available to the Esquelles de Jaume Museum, a small treasure in the town of Montseny.

"Jaume's Skeletons" is an exhibition of skeletons that the couple Jaume Traveria i Vila and Montserrat Garriga i Pujol collected throughout their lives, with nearly a thousand Esquelles of very different origins and types given to the town of Montseny.

In their diversity, quantity and quality, the Esquelles de Jaume evoke with extraordinary effectiveness the sounds of the life of the shepherd, whose activity has built for thousands of years the most characteristic landscapes of this country, and logically also those of Montseny, until they permeate the symbolic representations and the social and collective dynamics of its inhabitants.
