Esquelles Fair in Montseny
The Esquelles Fair is coming to Montseny once again!
A Fair that highlights the trades linked to livestock farming, specifically sheep. There are also guided tours to the Esquelles de Jaume Museum, a small treasure of the town of Montseny.
"Las esquelles de Jaume" is an exhibition of obituaries that the couple Jaume Traveria i Vila and Montserrat Garriga i Pujol collected throughout their lives with nearly a thousand obituaries of very different origins and types given to the town of Montseny.
In their diversity, quantity and quality, the Esquelles de Jaume evoke with extraordinary effectiveness the sounds of the life of the shepherd, whose activity has built for thousands of years the most characteristic landscapes of this country, and logically also those of Montseny, until permeate the symbolic representations and the social and collective dynamics of its inhabitants.
