'Diabòlic' in Vilafranca del Penedès
The 'Diabòlic' returns to Vilafranca del Penedès!
It will begin at 7 p.m. with the traditional Tabalada. The Devil's Dance of Vilafranca del Penedès is a folkloric and traditional manifestation of Catalan popular culture, which represents the fight between good and evil, filling the streets with the fire of its pyrotechnic elements and reciting satirical verses.
The first documented presence of the participation of the Baile de Diablos de Vilafranca in the Major Festival of its town with the current characteristics, dates back to 1815, although there are references that tell us about some diablots accompanying the Dragon of the town since 1601.
Diables from other municipalities from all over Catalonia will also participate.
