Alta Ribagorça hosts a new edition of the Solistes Cycle!

In 1994, the Alta Ribagorça region kicked off the music cycle "Solistes en la Alta Ribagorça" with the organization of a series of concerts integrated into the architectural complex, which encouraged people to listen to classical music by renowned performers in the churches of the territory. This year, the cycle reaches its thirtieth anniversary with a quality lineup and surrounded by initiatives to value culture, heritage and nature.

Over the years , the Solistes Alta Ribagorça cycle has undergone modifications in terms of the type of styles and the locations of the concerts, always maintaining their quality. This fact has significantly increased the number of spectators. In 1999, when there was a change in programming, incorporating other musical styles in addition to classical, the number of attendees grew progressively, until reaching figures that were difficult to overcome and limited by the capacity of the churches that did not allow large concentrations. of public. From that moment on, the concerts were opened to outdoor spaces, expanding the audience.

This year to celebrate 30 years, the Alta Ribagorça Regional Council has prepared a program that includes four concerts scheduled between August 3 and 24. The musical proposal brings together live music and musicians on the chosen stages of the Plaza del Mercadal in El Pont de Suert, the exterior of the Sant Joan de Boí church, the Vilaller and Senet swimming pools.

All Solistes concerts are free of charge.
