La Castañada in Guils de Cerdanya
Come celebrate the chestnut harvest in Guils de Cerdanya!
There will be a popular Castañada dinner, followed by a concert.
La Castañada is a popular festival that is celebrated throughout Catalonia on the eve and feast of All Saints, and consists of a meal based on toasted chestnuts, cooked sweet potatoes and panellets, accompanied by sweet muscatel wine.
Beyond the traditional celebrations with family and friends, the Castañada has become, in recent years, a fun and festive day, where parties of all kinds are celebrated in many towns and cities.
