Carnival in Avinyo

Avinyó celebrates its traditional Carnival with three days full of festivities and tradition.

Every year, Avinyó becomes the setting for one of the most emblematic Carnivals in central Catalonia, with a varied programme that invites everyone to participate and enjoy the party. Since its first edition in 1981, this event has grown thanks to self-management and the involvement of the local community, which keeps its celebration alive year after year.

The festival kicks off with opening activities and evening parties, which kick off a weekend full of joy. The Carnival parade, with troupes and floats, goes through the town in an explosion of creativity and fun. After the parade, the music continues with concerts and shows that keep everyone dancing until late.

Sunday is the turn of family activities, with proposals designed so that children and adults can continue enjoying the party. Shows, entertainment and traditional events put an end to a Carnival that year after year is consolidated as one of the most special festivals in the municipality.
