Carnival in Sant Celoni
Sant Celoni celebrates Carnival and the upcoming arrival of Spring with the Gypsy Dance!
The Gypsy Dance is celebrated on Saturday and Sunday of Carnival and in Sant Celoni, it has its own character and personality. It dates back to at least 1767; Their music is their own, composed mostly by Josep Ferrer i Torres between the 10s and 20s of the 20th century.
The Carnival has a vitality and strength that grows every year since its recovery in 1981 and, furthermore, it is the town's festival par excellence, a living tradition that everyone makes their own.
