Carnival in Olesa de Montserrat
Olesa de Montserrat is celebrating Carnival!
It is the festival of debauchery par excellence, with great popular acceptance, with children and adults filling the street with costumes and joy, a spontaneous exercise of individual and collective freedom. It is celebrated from Late Thursday to Ash Wednesday, on the new moon, and, in one week, the Carnival king arrives, reigns, dies and is buried.
On Saturday there is the joint parade through the streets of the municipality: the one for the little ones and the one for adults, with troupes and floats that fill the festival with color. There will also be a costume contest for troupes, small groups and individuals.
