Sardanes Aplec in Roda de Berà

Roda de Berà celebrates a new edition of the traditional Aplec de Sardanes!

Hundreds of people from all over the region gather by the sea to enjoy a day of sardana dancing and good company. Lovers of this traditional dance meet at the Berà hermitage to enjoy a splendid Easter Monday.

The event will feature two renowned sardana dance groups, Marinada and Ciutat de Cornellà, who will provide live music throughout the day and invite the public to dance and mingle in small groups. The sardana thus becomes the central theme of a celebration that combines tradition and community participation in a stunning setting.

The day begins with a mass in honor of the Virgin of Berà, followed by the start of the gathering and the first dances. At midday, the traditional fraternal meal will take place, a time to share a meal and strengthen the bonds between participants in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

In the afternoon, the music will continue with more sardana dances, and the day will also include a traditional Easter cake (mona) and muscatel wine for everyone, keeping alive one of the most deeply rooted traditions of this time of year. The gathering will conclude with farewell songs, bringing to a close a day full of music and emotion.

The organizers make it easy for everyone to participate, providing amenities such as tables and chairs for lunch and a bar service throughout the day. In addition, it's possible to pre-order the lunch menu.

The event is organized by the Sardana Group of Roda de Berà in collaboration with the City Council!
