Visit to Chocolates Simon Coll and Caves Blancher with Xatonada
Don't miss the sweetest outing at Chocolates Simon Coll and Caves Blancher accompanied by a good Xatonada.
Departure from Barcelona towards Penedès. Stop for breakfast (not included) and continue the trip to reach Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, where we will visit the Chocolate Space of the Simon Coll chocolate factory, which has been making chocolate since 1840, controlling the entire process from the cocoa bean to its final manufacture. During the visit we will watch an interesting audiovisual in which we will learn about the history of the founding family, cocoa and chocolate making, and through the tasting of different chocolates, a factory guide will help us discover many characteristics and curiosities.
Next, we will visit the renowned Cavas Blancher, where, after an interesting audiovisual about the Blancher family and the history of the creation of the cavas, we will take a guided tour of the cellar, built in 1955, in which they explain the process of making cava, which has been maintained in the Blancher family from generation to generation. After the tour, a tasting awaits us to enjoy the different cavas of the house. The visit will end in the store, where you can buy various items related to the world of cava, and in its original Museum, where we can admire display cases with interesting collections, the first laboratory equipment used in 1955, photographs and comics related to cava, as well as the machinery used during these 60 years.
Next we will have lunch with a Xatonada menu in a restaurant and, after a pleasant after-dinner conversation, we will return to Barcelona.
