2 days at the Great Carnival of Vinaròs, Valderrobres and Miravet Medieval
On March 1 and 2, enjoy the Vinaròs Carnival with reserved seating and visiting the beautiful towns of Miravet, Horta de Sant Joan and Valderrobres.
DAY 1 - PLACE OF ORIGIN - MIRAVET - VINARÒS CARNIVAL - HORTA DE SANT JOAN.
Departure in the morning towards the province of Tarragona. Stop en route for breakfast ( not included ) and continue the trip to reach Miravet, a historic town known to have been settled by the Iberians in the 2nd century, later by the Muslims in the 9th century and the Templars in the 12th century, and with important events such as the Battle of the Ebro.
We will have free time to explore this beautiful town presided over by its historic castle. Transfer to the hotel located in Horta de Sant Joan. Accommodation and lunch.
In the afternoon we will move to Vinaròs, where the great carnival is celebrated on this day. With a long tradition of almost 150 years, the carnival of Vinaròs is one of the most famous in the Mediterranean, which dazzles with a great parade of floats and has been recognized as of Tourist Interest.
The parade starts at 18:30 and lasts an estimated 3 hours. In order to enjoy the parades of the numerous groups of the Vinaròs Carnival 2025 from a privileged place, we will have a reserved seat (included) in the stands next to the "sambadrome". Dinner on this day is not included. At the agreed time we will return to the hotel located. Accommodation.
DAY 2 - HUERTA DE SAN JUAN - VALDERROBRES - PLACE OF ORIGIN.
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to visit Valderrobres, capital of the region, is considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain and has an architectural heritage of great value, where the church of Santa María la Mayor stands out, which was already declared a Historic Monument during the Second Republic, the Town Hall, the Archbishop's Castle and the entire historic complex were declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. We will take a tour with a local guide with entrance included in the Valderrobres Castle, the church and the museum. Return to the hotel for lunch.
In the afternoon we will have free time in this beautiful town. The centre of Horta has been declared a Cultural Site of National Interest as it has preserved its medieval character with narrow, winding streets and stone houses. At the agreed time we will return to our place of origin.
