Facilities and services
The shelter has 24 beds distributed in 5 rooms equipped with bunk beds (2, 4, 4, 6 and 8 beds). On the ground floor, visitors will find the hall, a dining room with a fireplace and pellet heating, a bar-cafeteria and two service bathrooms. On the upper floor there are the bedrooms, a pellet stove and two bathrooms with hot water showers.
The shelter is open all year round, although it is recommended to check for possible closures for holidays. It offers a bar and restaurant service open to everyone.
Activities and surroundings
Its privileged location allows for the practice of various outdoor activities throughout the year. In winter, it is ideal for Nordic skiing, ski mountaineering and snowshoeing. In spring and summer, hiking enthusiasts can enjoy numerous routes that run through the natural landscapes of the area.
In addition, the shelter collaborates with Cau de Llops, offering activities related to sled dogs, a unique experience for visitors.
Access and recommendations
To access the refuge, take a forest track that leaves from the ski resort car park, located approximately 400 metres away. There is parking available for guests near the refuge. During the snow season, the forest track is closed, so it must be accessed on foot, with skis, snowshoes or a sledge. For people with reduced mobility, the refuge staff offers assistance to facilitate their arrival.
It is advisable to contact the shelter in advance to confirm availability and services, especially during the winter months, since transport of supplies is done by sled or snowmobile, which can affect logistics.
