Birdwatching trips to Parc Samà on 19 and 26 January 2025

At Parc Samà, we are inaugurating 2025 with a morning cycle of birdwatching tours designed to observe as many birds as possible in the shortest amount of time. The birdwatching tours are scheduled for the 19th and 26th of January at 11:00 a.m., each lasting approximately two hours.

That is why we will have Enric Pàmies, an expert naturalist and ornithology enthusiast, responsible for the Birding Catalunya portal and co-participant in the “Ocells de butxaca” project, as well as a great connoisseur of the wild fauna of Parc Samà.

Parc Samà is a special point of interest for birds due to its lush gardens and large lake. It contains a wide variety of trees that create different habitats that are very useful for different species of birds at different times of the year, and its large lake is a permanent water point that is essential for the area's fauna.

The idea is to take advantage of the visit to the park to discover and identify the wild birds that live in our botanical garden with the experience of the ornithologist and with the help of the Illustrated Guide to the Fauna of Parc Samà that we will distribute to the attendees. This time of year is a good time for bird watching, which we know there are more than 80 different species, such as bee-eaters, brush-bills, orioles, jays, leatherbacks, chiffchaffs, kestrels and short-toed eagles. It will be a spectacle.

Don't miss it!
